Mike called in from the Navegante out of Redondo Sportfishing. They returned this morning from a 1.5-day trip with 12 anglers. They did the nighttime bluefin tuna thing and ended up catching 1 tuna up to 182lbs! Then they fished the island where they caught a handful of yellowtail, some bass, misc, barracuda, and bonito. Then they ended up doing the tuna thing again at night and it wanted to bite but unfortunately, they were out of time. They ended up with 6 Bluefin Tuna, all well over 100 lbs, with the biggest being 182 lbs. Overall they fished hard, and had some causities, but it was a good trip. The wind cooled the water and whatever we caught, we really had to work for it. We ended up with 2 for 5 on the yellowtail, some nice bass, sheephead, and barracuda. Mike called in from the Navegante out of Redondo Sportfishing with their overnight wrap up report. We left last night. We're keeping this ball rolling. We ended up with 4 bluefin tuna over 100 pounds. Our biggest was 138 pounds. We hooked probably 8 fish to get 4. Other than that, we fished the island during the day and caught some calico bass, barracuda, and whitefish. Mike has the current fish report for you below.
