Mike checked in for the Navegante from Redondo Beach. We had a 976-Tuna 2-Day Charter. We had our chances yesterday. We hooked 35 to 40 bluefin to land 15 from 15-40 lbs. We had a lot of casualties due to light line and small hooks. Unfortunately, we did not succeed at getting anything in the dark and dealt with a little bit of weather. Today, we fished 2 different islands and covered a lot of ground looking for more tuna and pelagics at the island, and struck out. So we did the rockfish thing, and the guys loaded up on some nice bottom grabbers. Mike has the latest fish report for you below.

Steven checked in for the Navegante from Redondo Beach. Giving you a wrap-up for our 976-TUNA 2-day charter, we dealt with some weather, dealt with conditions that's for sure for the first day. Got into the tuna area, and the weather was up pretty much all day long. We hooked a couple of fish, got a 25 to 30 pounder for our group, which was the bluefin on the first day. Then we ran back into the islands on the first day to avoid the weather and got 3 nice big yellowtail and a couple more. And the guys opted just to load the bags up just before the trip was over on day 2. But really good bottom fishing, lots of big reds, lots of big rockfish, whitefish, stuff like that. And then ended the trip in the shallows catching some really nice big sheephead and calico bass. Anyway made a trip of it, and the guys went home with plenty of fish. Check us out!. Steven has the current report for you below.
The Navegante's next open trip is this Saturday, Sept. 6th

Mike checked in for the Navegante from Redondo Beach. Guys opted to go tuna fishing. That's what we did. We had one really, really good drift in the morning. We went like, I'm going to say 22 for 50. It was a mess for a little while. Bigger fish on that lighter line again. But the guys had a blast. The weather was good. Like I said, 22 bluefin up to about 60 pounds or so, and went through at least twice that many, if not more, to get what we got. We ran back into the island, had a really, really good bottom fishing, whitefish fishing. We did that going into the dark, and we didn't find much as far as tuna. Late in the evening on the way home, we looked around for a couple of hours for just a couple of small little dabs of fish that wouldn't bite. Steven has the current fish report for you below.
