Slammer Charter Boat

Captain David Yumori has almost 20 years experience in fishing in Santa Monica Bay. He has spent 10 years running the Slammer and is proud to invite you upon the Slammer!

The vessel is 24ft long, which makes it ideal for fishing all the coastal and island hot spots. With a cruising speed of 18 knots, it is the fastest charter boat in the Los Angeles area!

The seasoned fishing veteran will find the Slammer an ideal platform for fishing tight in the kelp forests, beaches and boiler rocks that larger party boats cannot reach. The Slammer is perfect for small charters, up to 4 passengers. With the light loads, you are able to have an intimate outing with your Captain, making it easy to learn new techniques so you can catch more quality fish.

During the fall and winter nights the Slammer can run lobster fishing trips. The Slammer is very maneuverable allowing it to deploy its hoop nets tight to the breakwaters and rock piles. Hoop netting is a breeze on the Slammer. She is equipped with an electric pulley which turns back breaking work into an piece of cake.

The Slammer is equipped with all necessary safety equipment required by the U.S. Coast Guard and includes aerial flares and life jackets. The vessel is also equipped with an EPIRB which sends and emergency signal/message to local Coast Guard from anywhere around the world. She is equipped with 2 VHF radios, Furuno color sonar, GPS chart plotter and marine radar for the safest trips. Also on board for creature comforts are a microwave, AM/FM stereo and flushing toilet.
